Once something has been pointed out to you, you see it everywhere. Cabel Sasser tweeted about a not so effectively disguised Portland cell tower. Later today, on our way to a craft market along newly created roads that reminded me of a picture of 50s suburbia in a Maciej Cegłowski talk, we drove past a telephone mast remarkably similar in its half-hearted disguise. That surprised me though. South Africans have actually been pretty good at transforming their now ubiquitous cell masts into something that resembles a tree. Works that Work published a fine article on these creations a while back.
